Have you ever had the following thoughts?
“My son is in Kindergarten. It takes us all morning to get through every subject and by the time we’re done, he’s tired and frustrated…and so am I!”
“My daughter has dreams to a write a novel. I want to help her, but by the time we’re done with math, science, language arts, history, and geography, there is simply no time for her to pursue anything so consuming.”
“We have elderly parents living with us and a child with special needs. The fact that we are homeschooling at all is an achievement, but fitting in anything fun is simply not possible.”
“Once we tried ‘unschooling’ and my son’s test scores plummetted. He had fun that year, but we can’t afford to get so off track.”
Do any of these concerns, frustrations, or fears resonate with you? Is homeschooling not exactly what you had pictured? Do you desire to disciple your children, or even just spend a day having fun with them, but are afraid their academics may slip? Do you wish in your heart that you could give your children a great education, but still enjoy life together without the fear of holes in their education?
It is possible.
In fact, at the Lifeschooling Conference and Activities Fair, we will show you why it is the best way to learn and how you can transform your entire experience of homeschooling! We will show you how you can work with (not against) your life and the circumstances God brings into it to create learning and discipleship experiences not found in any textbook. Because here’s a little secret…
God’s school is LIFE.
It is our training ground. We learn through the circumstances and experiences He allows and through the specific paths on which he guides each of us individually.
Lifeschooling is the individualized process of discovering your child’s God-given gifts and talents through real life experiences that happen within the context of your family’s unique situations and missions.
Won’t you come join us as we explore this idea of “lifeschooling” together?
Our schedule is ever-evolving, so be sure to keep an eye out for exciting additions!

We’re honored to have homeschool veterans sharing practical advice from their own experience on how to merge homeschooling with entrepreneurship, ministry, serious illness, travel. . . in other words, LIFE!
On Saturday morning, we will host a mom’s coffee where moms can share their experiences and struggles. Plenty of coffee and pastries will be served! Immediately following, we will conduct helpful workshops. And during lunch, we will have a food truck on the grounds, along with a bounce house, face painting, and balloons to entertain your younger ones!
The beautiful campus of Southern Evangelical Seminary at 3000 Tilley Morris Rd, Matthews, NC 28105.
Learn to think in a holistic, Hebraic manner rather than with a Westernized, segmented mindset. Challenge your view of education with outside-the-box ideas for making real life your classroom!
There are plenty of restaurant options in the area, but the facility also has vending machines and a dining area with seating and microwave available for those who wish to bring their own lunches on Thursday or Saturday. (Friday is reserved for the VIP lunch). On Saturday, we will also have a food truck available.
There is a broad range of hotel options in the area, including the upscale Ballantyne Resort. We have also secured special rates at several local hotels (see below).
All of the info you’re sharing, the podcasts, videos, speaker links, etc. have been so encouraging. I see God clearly leading down the path more and more with lifeschooling. To know others are successfully following that path and understanding how is a huge blessing. I’ve been on the path for many years but didn’t really have a name for how God was impressing me, just trusting Him to lead with great wisdom and understanding. He has abundantly.
Thank you for the conference! Thank you for organizing such a phenomenal group of speakers. Thank you for the freedom from curriculum and the reminder and permission that it’s all about God and relationships. Thank you for helping me redefine our mission and vision from being homeschoolers to being life-schoolers. Thank you for reminding me of the joy I feel when I’m just spending time with my children. Thank you for reminding me that I’m a mother first and foremost. Your conference was my last ditch effort before i pulled the plug on our homescool “experiment”. This year I’ll be doing 11th grade, 8th grade, 3rd grade and kinder. Curriculum for all these grades is more then I can bear and has caused me sleepless nights and stressed out days. There is freedom in Christ and your conference helped me to remember that – THANK YOU!
We are coming to the end of our first year where we have chosen a Life schooling style rather than a rigid curriculum and schedule. God has richly blessed our first year… We follow a curriculum but we haven’t allowed that curriculum to dictate our schedule. By being flexible and staying Christ-centered, we have been able to take advantage of the God-moments when they show up and there have been many of them!

We will not have special activities planned during the conference presentations, but during the lunch break on Saturday, there will be several fun activities including a bounce house, balloons, and face painting. There will also be a food truck available and families may picnic on the lawn or in the dining area upstairs.
We encourage families to do some lifeschooling by having their children sit with them through the sessions! You will be amazed what even your little ones will pick up on. Of course, you are also welcome to bring crayons, paper, etc. to help occupy them. We will also have a game room available for those who need a little break, and the front lawn is also an option for running off extra energy!
There are many great restaurant options near the facility, but you may also bring a bagged lunch on Thursday and Saturday to eat in the dining area (seating is limited) or outside. On Saturday, we will also have a food truck on site for your convenience. On Friday, we will need the dining space for our VIP Speaker Luncheon.
Be sure to bring supplies for note-taking! Also, you may want to bring a light sweater, as conference rooms can get quite cold. Some parents of younger children find that having a tablet or something else to occupy their children is helpful.
