About Me

Well, hello there! Welcome to FREEDOM! I’m Danielle (that’s
“Duh-Neel”…blame my parents) Papageorgiou (that’s
Pah-pah-jor-jee-oo”…blame my husband 😉), homeschool blogger,
conference director, product creator, free thinker, schedulaphobe, excessive emoji-user, and
compulsive sharer-of-probably-way-too-many details of my life. OH! And
following in the standard convention of other About Me sections I’ve
seen, which seem to qualify favorite drinks as highly pertinent
information, my drink of preference is Kombucha and I’m indifferent to
coffee. But, on a more serious note…

When I started homeschooling 20+ years ago, my heart would break every time another family would quit homeschooling. I knew intuitively that homeschooling is about far more than education. It is about relationships! It developed within me a passion for helping homeschoolers learn how to homeschool in a way that does not compete with family life but actually enhances it. My desire is to see more families set free from the world’s expectations of what education is and to discover that God has made each family unique and has also placed in each of their children special gifts and desires that He wants to use.

Lifeschooling is the individualized process of discovering your child’s God-given gifts and talents, primarily through real life experiences that happen within the context of your family’s unique situations and missions.

My Family

I’ve been married to my amazing husband, Jon, for 24 years and we have three talented and fun children on earth, Konur (22), Elleina (19), and Korban (12), as well as a baby girl, Myla Grace (born at 14 weeks) in heaven. Konur was married to Leah in September, and works in I.T. He also works in the Christian film industry, having worked as “scripty” on Lifemark and on the pilot for the upcoming series, LUSO, as well as other film sets. Elleina is a gifted artist, writer, and actress who published a novel at age 13 (No Return) and played the role of 12-year-old Kate in the movie, Like Arrows, and Anna in the movie Lifemark (both produced by the Kendrick brothers). Korban is busy learning from days of extensive playing and imagining, along with some formal academics, and is also starting his entrepreneurial ventures with buying and selling on eBay. Lifeschooling has worked for our family! (Updated Jan. 2024).

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

My Mission

Lifeschooling is the freedom to educate as God calls you to, not as the Scope and Sequence or curriculum dictates.

The mission of the Lifeschooling Conference and the Life as a Lifeschooler blog is to encourage moms and dads that homeschooling can merge with a healthy family life and whatever life circumstances God brings, and to challenge the conventional model of age-segregated, subject-divided, desk-confined schooling that has infiltrated the homeschooling movement.

What I Offer

I offer encouragement to stressed-out, burned-out moms and help them learn to give themselves more grace! I do this through…
