Julie Polanco

Biography

JULIE POLANCO is a 20 year (from day 1) veteran homeschooling mom of four challenging, artsy kids. Very early on, the writings of Barbara Shelton and Marilyn Howshall–pioneers in “lifeschooling”–influenced how she interacted with her children. Julie frequently writes about natural, God-centered learning. She is the author of two books for moms–God Schooling: How God Intended Children to Learn and 100 Ways to Motivate Kids–and she is the high school botany instructor for www.SchoolhouseTeachers.com. Julie was a speaker at the 2019 STEM Conference and the 2019 Homeschool Mom Conference, talking about tailoring high school to how God uniquely designed your teen. She has been featured in several publications and blogs, including Today’s Parent, Old Schoolhouse magazine, Some Assembly Required, Homeschooling with Heart blog, and Alternative Health Guide. Julie teaches live middle school science workshops for her local homeschool co-op and is actively involved in her church’s women’s ministry as a teacher and worship leader.
